Silane Coupling Agent: Guide

Silane, the compound of silicon and hydrogen, is a general term for a series of compounds, including methylsilane (SiH4), ethylsilane (Si2H6), and some higher silicon-hydrogen compounds, with the formula SinH2n+2. Among them, methylsilane is the most common, and sometimes methylsilane is simply referred to as silane.

Silane is a simple organosilicon compound. The bond between silicon and hydrogen atoms in the silane molecule is a polar covalent bond, which is highly reactive and volatile. The main uses of silane include the preparation of silane compounds, silicone rubber, silicon fiber, etc.;
