M2 Dichlorodimethylsilane(CAS 75-78-5)is referred to as DMDCS. It is a tetrahedral organosilicon compound with the chemical formula Si(CH3)2Cl2.
At room temperature, dimethyl unit is a colorless transparent liquid, flammable, explosive, is the basic raw material for silicone products, used in the production of silicone intermediates, silicone oil, silicone rubber and silicone resin, but also used in the manufacture of heat-resistant, high-strength carbonized fiber.

In addition, various reactive functional groups can also be introduced into the siloxane molecular chain links through chemical reactions. The above types of siloxanes are generally called silicone intermediates.
