Silico® Vinyl Silicone Resins

Vinyl Silicone Resins are functional organosilicon polymers containing vinyl (–CH=CH₂) groups in their molecular structure. These reactive vinyl groups enable a wide range of curing methods, including thermal, UV, and platinum-catalyzed hydrosilylation, making vinyl silicone resins highly adaptable for modern high-performance applications.

The presence of vinyl groups also improves adhesion, mechanical flexibility, and crosslinking density, while maintaining the excellent thermal stability, weather resistance, and electrical insulation typical of silicone resins.

Silico® offers a complete range of vinyl-modified MQ, MDT, and hybrid silicone resins to meet the needs of advanced industrial coatings, electronic encapsulants, LED materials, and UV-curable systems.

How to Choose Vinyl Silicone Resin?

Choosing the right vinyl silicone resin depends on your application’s requirements for thermal resistance, adhesion, and curing method.

  • ✅ For RTV/HTV silicone rubbers, select vinyl MQ-type resins with high vinyl content (0.8–2%) for strong crosslinking.
  • ✅ For adhesion promotion or anti-stick coatings, use general-purpose vinyl resins (0.4–1.5%) with linear or branched structures.
  • ✅ For high-temp or UV-curable systems, opt for hybrid vinyl resins containing phenyl or hydride groups for enhanced durability and compatibility.

Consider resin form (solvent-free or diluted), vinyl content, and end-use environment when selecting. Always match with suitable hydrogen siloxane or crosslinker.
