Vinyltriethoxysilane (CAS 78-08-0) also known as Triethoxylvinylsilane, is a colorless to pale yellow liquid that is soluble in a variety of organic solvents.
Vinyltriethoxysilane is suitable for polymer types such as polyethylene, polypropylene and unsaturated polyesters, and can also be used to improve the affinity between glass fibers, inorganic fillers and resins reacting with vinyl. Commonly used in silane cross-linked polyethylene cables and tubing.
