Phenyl Silane
Phenylsilane is a transparent colorless liquid, an important silicone intermediate, mainly used for hydrogenation reagent, is the raw material for the preparation of silicone surfactants.
Phenylsilane can be used as a reducing agent to partially reduce the phosphine oxide group in poly(4,4′-diphenylphenylphosphine oxide) (PAPO) to phosphine; it can be photopolymerized with methyl methacrylate (MMA) to form poly(MMA) containing SiH groups; and it can be used as a silica source to synthesize crystalline Si nanowires via supercritical liquid-solid synthesis of Au nanocrystalline cores.
