High Boiling Silicone Oil: Guide
With the maturity of the production process of high boiling silicone oil in China, the quality of the product has become stable, in order to adopt a unified standard for the standardization and normalization of product quality control. Therefore, the state has formulated the group standard “High-boiling Silicone Oil” (T/FSI 007-2017).
(T/FSI 007-2017) specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, as well as marking, packaging, transportation and storage requirements for high boiling silicone oil. The standard applies to the methyl chlorosilane mixed monomer distillation of high-boiling material as the main raw material, and then by alcoholysis or hydrolysis process to produce high-boiling silicone oil. High-boiling silicone oil is mainly composed of polymethylsiloxane mixtures, the structure of which is dominated by silicone-oxygen bonds, silicone-carbon bonds, silicone-silicon bonds, and with some branched chains. High-boiling silicone oil is suitable for defoamer, waterproofing agent, isolation agent and other industries, food, medical and other industries need to be tested separately.
