Diphenyldimethoxysilane Description
Diphenyldimethoxysilane (CAS 6843-66-9), also abbreviated as DMDPS, DDS, is a colorless, transparent liquid.
Diphenyldimethoxysilane is an acetylation reagent which is used as a precursor in the preparation of silica, as an electrolyte additive in lithium-ion batteries, and also to prevent overcharging of batteries. It is mainly used in the polymerization of propylene to increase the degree of isomerization.

Diphenyldimethoxysilane: Guide
Diphenyldimethoxysilane or Dimethoxydiphenylsilane is a difunctional monomeric silane
Phenylsilanes can be used at high temperatures and perform well. For the synthesis of high temperature silicone polymers, phenylsilane can replace other functional silanes as a crosslinker. Phenylsilane is also used as an electron donor in polypropylene polymerization.
Applications:
Used as a catalyst in the preparation of propylene copolymers and in stretching polypropylene films. Used in the synthesis of phenylsilicone rubber, resins and fluids.
Particularly suitable for high temperature vulcanization of methyl phenyl silicone rubber. Used as an adhesion promoter and surface modifier in a variety of paints and coatings, adhesives and sealants.
Used in the preparation of electronic packaging materials and aerospace materials.
