Dimethyldichlorosilane Description

M2 Dichlorodimethylsilane(CAS 75-78-5)is referred to as DMDCS. It is a tetrahedral organosilicon compound with the chemical formula Si(CH3)2Cl2.
At room temperature, dimethyl unit is a colorless transparent liquid, flammable, explosive, is the basic raw material for silicone products, used in the production of silicone intermediates, silicone oil, silicone rubber and silicone resin, but also used in the manufacture of heat-resistant, high-strength carbonized fiber.

Dimethyldichlorosilane is the basic raw material of silicone, which is used for the production of silicone intermediates (D4, DMC), silicone oil, silicone rubber and silicone resin, and also used for the manufacture of heat-resistant and high-strength carbonized fibers.

Industry, commonly used dimethyl dichlorosilane as the main raw material, by hydrolysis polycondensation into a silicon-oxygen (-Si-O-) bond as the main chain of silicon atoms directly connected to the organic groups of dimethylsiloxane mixed cyclic body (DMC).DMC can be separated to get the octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane (D4) and other higher purity cyclic body and linear body. In addition, various reactive functional groups can also be introduced into the siloxane molecular chain links through chemical reactions. The above types of siloxanes are generally called silicone intermediates.
