2-(3,4-Epoxycyclohexyl) Ethyl]trimethoxysilane Description
2-(3,4-Epoxycyclohexyl) Ethyltrimethoxysilane (CAS 3388-04-3) is also known as Trimethoxy[2-(7-oxabicyclo[4.1.0]hept-3-yl)ethyl]silane. it is a colorless, low viscosity liquid. It has a slight turpentine odor. Soluble in alcohols, ketones and aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbons.
CAS 3388-04-3 silane is a multifunctional epoxy-functional organosilane with a reactive organic epoxide and a hydrolyzable inorganic methoxysilane moiety. Its reactive dual nature enables chemical bonding with inorganic materials (e.g., glass, metals, fillers) and organic polymers (e.g., thermosets, thermoplastics, elastomers), thus acting as an adhesion promoter, cross-linker, and/or surface modifier.
