3-Acryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane CAS 4369-14-6, is used to enhance the thermal conductivity of silicone rubber filled with hybridized fillers. It involves the use of vinyltrimethoxysilane for the synthesis of vinyl and acrylate modified silica nanoparticles. In addition, it is used as a silane coupling agent involved in the carbon-carbon double bond modification of fluorescein isothiocyanate- mesoporous silica nanoparticles.

Usage
  • Used in unsaturated polyester composites: It can improve the mechanical properties, electrical properties and light transmission properties of composites, especially it can greatly improve the wet state properties of composites.
  • With (containing the coupling agent) infiltration treatment of glass fiber, can improve the glass fiber reinforced composite material wet state mechanical strength and electrical properties.
  • Applications in the wire and cable industry: treating clay-filled peroxide crosslinked EPDM systems with the coupling agent improves the consumption factor and the specific inductive capacity resistance.
  • Copolymerized with vinyl acetate and acrylic or methacrylic monomers, these polymers are widely used in coatings, adhesives and sealants to provide excellent adhesion and durability.

3-Acryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane is mainly used as a tackifier for resins and polymer materials; used in the synthesis of methacryloyloxyalkyl silicone oils; used as a cross-linking agent in room temperature curing acrylic coatings and polyolefin methods; used to improve the hydrophobicity of insulating oils and fiber optic coatings and to improve the mechanical properties of polyester concrete.
