Methylvinyldichlorosilane: Guide
The vapor and liquid of methylvinyldichlorosilane can cause skin burns and is toxic by inhalation. Reacting with anhydrous ethanol, hydrogen chloride is released to produce methylvinyldichlorosilane.
Reacting with organic magnesium halides, the chlorine atom in the Si-Cl bond can be replaced by the corresponding organic group. In the presence of a platinum catalyst, the Si-CH=CH2 bond can undergo an addition reaction with compounds containing the Si-H bond. It can be produced by reacting methyltrichlorosilane with vinylmagnesium bromide. It is used to synthesize silicone intermediates and polymers such as silicone oil and silicone rubber.
Potential applications of methylvinyldichlorosilane:
(1) It can be used as coupling agent, adhesion promoter and cross-linking agent. Graft polyethylene for wet gas coupling, copolymerization with ethylene for wet gas coupling of polyethylene.
(2) It can be used for surface treatment of plastics, peroxide vulcanized rubber, polyester, polyolefin, styrene, acrylic acid and other mineral fillers. Vinyl methyl dichlorosilane
