Wide Temperature Dielectric Silicone Fluids
Wide Temperature Dielectric Silicone Fluids (-50°C to 230°C) are clear, colorless and odorless linear Polydimethylsiloxane fluids (CAS# 63148-62-9). They are characterized by their dielectric strength, high flash points, high thermal stability, high resistance to oxidation, low vapor pressure, and compatibility with virtually all surfaces including metal, rubbers and plastics.

Wide Temperature Dielectric Silicone Fluids are 100% linear Polydimethylsiloxane fluids (CAS# 63148-62-9) that are formulated for use as dielectric fluids and dielectric coolants in a wide range of applications. The fluids are clear, colorless, odorless, and inert to virtually all metals, plastics and rubbers.
Wide Temperature Dielectric Silicone Fluids encompass a viscosity range from 20cSt to 100cSt (measures @ 25°C). They are characterized by their high dielectric strength, high flash points, wide service temperature range, low pour points, high resistance to oxidation, low viscosity change at temperature (low V.T.C.), long service life, and hydrophobic nature (insoluble in water). If you require a fluid that is formulated to contain <50ppm water content and meets IEC 836 specifications, please see STO-50 Dielectric Silicone Fluid/ Silicone Transformer Oil.

Wide Temperature Dielectric Silicone Fluids : Guide
Wide Temperature Dielectric Silicone Fluids have a high Dielectric Strength of 375 to 400 volts/mil.
Wide Temperature Dielectric Silicone Fluids have Thermal Conductivity values between 0.00034 to 0.00037 g/cal/cm/sec °C or 0.15 to 0.16 W/m °C. The Specific Heat values are 0.36 cal/g °C and 1.6 to 1.5 J/g °C .
Wide Temperature Dielectric Silicone Fluids have low Viscosity-Temperature Coefficients (V.T.C.), and will experience little viscosity increase even at extremely low temperatures. For systems that have to operate at extremely low temps, the fluids will still circulate and provide a consistent temperature.
If you require a dielectric fluid with a different viscosity, we offer the Pure Silicone Fluids which range in viscosity from 0.65cSt to 20,000,000cSt.
