AcylSilane / Acyloxy Silanes
Acylsilanes are a fascinating class of organic compounds displaying many unique chemical and physical properties. The acylsilane functional group [R-C(O)Si] contained in their structure holds a unique mode of reaction that makes them an increasingly attractive part of modern organic synthesis.
The acylsilane product line is mainly used in unsaturated polyester composites to improve the wet and dry mechanical strength of polyester composites filled with white carbon black, glass, silicates and metal oxides, to improve the mechanical, electrical and light transmission properties of the composites, and in particular to substantially improve the wet properties of the compliant materials. Can also be used in polyurethane, polybutylene, polypropylene, polyethylene and EPDM rubber.

AcylSilane / Acyloxy Silanes: Guide
Acylsilanes are considered to be a special class of carbonyl compounds due to the fact that both their oxygen and silicon atoms are directly bound to the same sp2-carbon atom. Acylsilanes are widely used in organic synthesis and materials.
Applications of acylsilanes:
● For impregnation treatment of glass fibers: to improve the mechanical strength and electrical properties of glass fiber reinforced composites in the wet state.
● For wire and cable industry: treating clay-filled peroxide crosslinked EPDM systems, improving consumption factor and specific inductive tolerance resistance.
● For copolymerization with vinyl acetate and acrylic or methacrylic monomers, the resulting polymers are widely used in coatings, adhesives and sealants, providing excellent adhesion and durability.
● For surface treatment: especially applied to inorganic fillers such as silica, talc, clay, mica, clay, kaolin, etc., to improve adhesion to inorganic materials, increase water resistance, and reduce curing temperature.
