Methyltriethoxysilane: Guide

Methyltriethoxysilane is a colorless liquid, soluble in ethanol, benzene and gasoline. Methyltriethoxysilane can be produced by reacting monomethyltrichlorosilane with ethanol in the presence of solvent.

CAS 2031-67-6 silane is used as the main raw material for the production of silicone resin, fabric finishing agent and phenylmethyl silicone oil. Meanwhile, CAS 2031-67-6 silane is easily hydrolyzed and can generate alkali metal silanol salt with alkali metal hydroxide. And it can also be used as crosslinking agent for room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber.
